We have a lot happening and developing at Mossy Hills. Here are some of the highlights!
Forest
Located on the Canadian shield our mixed woods is home to many different ecosystems and full of diverse plant and animal life. Private and protected trails allow for our groups to explore and discover this beautiful and wild place.
Farm
We have several acres that we are dedicating to growing food, herbs, and natural products using sustainable and regenerative methods. All our farm products are hand planted, picked and processed in small batches.
Cabin
We are renovating a rustic cabin in the woods overlooking a private pond. It has space for 6 to sleep and a large main room suitable for workshops, gatherings, and retreats. Contact us for details

What does growing sustainably mean to us?
~working with nature rather than against it ~not using synthetic chemicals for weed suppression, pest control, or fertilization of plants ~building the soil by adding compost and mulches ~encouraging diverse organisms and insects ~planting perennial food crops and trees in beneficial groupings ~minimising our use of plastic, reducing our fossil fuel use, and finding zero waste alternatives ~providing space and sharing knowledge and resources to help build food security in our community
